Africa, so replete with many
Yet so poor.
For so long, those whose chains bound her
have long left her shores
But yet in chains she bind herself.
Those chosen to represent her now eat
Alone in a bowl in cliques.
Her leaders intoxicated by power never let go
Sniffing lives out of any who dare oppose
And so the people became slaves in their homes.
Africa for once we all pointed fingers at the colonials..
Saying in one accord let them leave.
Gone they all left
But now we are worst than they left us
In colonialism our children had jobs,
Now with power our children are jobless
For isn't power more useful in the hands of the
Oppressor?
Why do we chose to betray the very tenant which we fought to be free
Sadly, like the Israelites in the wilderness
We ask our moses why has thou brought us out of Egypt to die in the wilderness??
With so much, yet very little to eat
Africa her people, her leader, her woe.
